Michael has worked on 100+ individual single issue comics and graphic novels. As a member of the editorial team at BOOM! Studios, he sourced and hired writers, artists, and cover artists, performed substantive editing on pitches, outlines, and scripts, and art directed covers and interiors from thumbs to finished product.

These are some of his proudest contributions to the titles he's edited. Click the subject header to see the full information on each series.

Michael hired the entire creative team for this Fionna & Cake graphic novel. Collaborating with Kate Sheridan and Killian Ng remains one of his favorite projects from his time at BOOM! Studios.

The Preorder Cover program had artists do paired Marcy & Simon-focused covers attached to separate issues, encouraging collectors to pick up multiple issues. Michael hired Danielle Chuatico, Jamie Loughran, Ray Tonga, and Amelia Vidal.

Michael hired all the creators who contributed to the Amazing World of Gumball 2018 Special. This was one of the first times he had ownership of the entire editorial process, from sourcing and hiring artists to editing their scripts to art directing their shorts to completion.

Following Michael's collaboration with C.R. Chua on several series, she sent him a previously published Flipino zine along with a pitch to collect the series into a graphic novel for American audiences. Michael collaborated with Shannon Watters to acquire the project and oversaw the updates to the original text, including the transition from black-and-white to full color.

The Variant Cover program for Go Go Power Rangers #9-20 had artist Audrey Mok capture a moment from key Power Ranger episodes, with design by Dylan Todd. Michael art directed the covers from start to finish for Go Go Power Rangers #11-19, selected each episode and moment to feature, and wrote the cover dialogue and copy where applicable.

It’s Spring Break for the Rangers, and the first time since they received their Power Coins that the Rangers will be apart. As they each embark on their own week-long vacation, these teenagers with attitude discover that being a hero doesn’t alway mean having to morph!

Michael hired Xiao Tong Kong as the artist for Yellow Ranger Trini's portion of the annual. It remains one of his proudest samples of editorial work. He also edited the script, art directed interiors, and managed approvals.

The Variant Cover program for Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #25-39 had artist Jordan Gibson capture a key moment from every Power Rangers season. Michael art directed the covers from start to finish for Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #25-35 and selected each season's moment to feature.

Go Go Power Rangers #11, released 7/4/18, and Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #29, released 7/18/18, shared a scene between the Ranger Slayer, a dark version of MMPR Pink Ranger Kimberly Hart, and Lord Drakkon, from each of their perspectives. Aside from generally editing, one of Michael's explicit responsibilities was to ensure the scenes matched perfectly in dialogue upon print.

The Preorder Cover program for the "Lars of the Stars"-inspired arc of the Steven Universe Ongoing series paid homage to the classic Star Wars film posters. Michael ideated the program, hired Francesca Perrone, and art directed her through the process.

Michael hired creators and art directed them for various preorder covers throughout the series. These inclued: Casey Dimoff (#16), Janie Lee (#19), Alex Chiu (#23), Ayme Sotuyo (#24), Jamie Loughran (#29), Cy Vendivil (#33), Chan Chau (#34), Borg Sinaban (#35), and Killian Ng (#36).
